A:Where's John? I haven't seen him for a few days.
A:约翰在哪儿？我有好几天没有见到他了。
B:He is in bed with illness.
B:他卧病在床。
A:I'm sorry to hear that. How about calling around to see him this afternoon?
A:听到这个消急真让人难过，今天下午一起去看看他怎么样？
B:I'm afraid I can't. I've got to go swimming this afternoon.
B：我恐怕不能去，今天下午我要去游泳呢。
A:Come on! You can do that some other day. He's been very kind to us, and if we ever learn that he is ill, it would be quite wrong of us to pass by on the other side.
A:算了吧，你可以改天再去，他一向对我们很好，如果我们知道他病了却对他坐视不管，那就不对了吧。
