2月15日，微信方面对外证实，微信公众号付费订阅功能确实在推进中，已经在做测试，相信近期会和大家见面。

　　Tencent Holdings' messaging app WeChat is mulling a new pay-to-read feature that allows its official accounts to request payment from readers.

　　腾讯旗下即时通讯工具微信计划新推出付费订阅功能，允许微信公众号向读者收取费用。

　　Data from Guangzhou-based market consultancy iiMedia Research showed that the number of registered WeChat official accounts surged 46.2 percent year-on-year to 12 million in 2016. This year, the figure is estimated to reach 14 million.

　　研究机构艾媒市场咨询公司的数据显示，2016年微信公众号注册数量达到1200万，同比增长46.2%，今年，预计注册数量会达到1400万。

　　最近两年，随着逻辑思维、分答、知乎Live等平台和内容的探索，付费订阅（pay-to-read/paid content）也逐渐被用户接受。

　　收费订阅服务一般分为：单次订阅（pay as you read）、周订阅（weekly subscription service）、包月订阅（monthly subscription service）、包年订阅（yearly subscription service）等。

　　其实，在阅读逐渐电子化的今天，不少国外新闻网站都已经推出了收费墙（paywall）阅读系统。

　　在具体使用中有“硬”收费墙和“软”收费墙两种。“硬”收费墙模式下，非订阅用户只能看到最少量的网页内容，或甚至无法看到网页内容；而“软”收费墙模式对用户可见内容的限制则更加灵活，比如，每月允许用户查看精选的一些免费内容或免费查看一定数量的文章，或者允许读者查看某本书的几页内容或某篇文章的几段内容。
