世卫组织最高权力机构——世界卫生大会将于2019年推出该组织的第11版全球医学纲要，首次纳入中医传统医学的相关信息。

　　For the first time, the World Health Organization (WHO) has included traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in its globally influential medical compendium, according to an international science journal.

　　据国际科学期刊报道，世界卫生组织首次将中医纳入其具有全球影响力的医学纲要。

　　根据美国《自然》(Nature)杂志26日发表的一篇文章，中医将被纳入到将于明年出版的最新版的全球医学纲要中(be incorporated into the latest version of global medical compendium set to be released next year)。全球医学纲要也被称为国际疾病与相关健康问题统计分类(the International Classification of Diseases, ICD)，在全球拥有绝对的影响力。

　　ICD对数千种疾病和诊断(diseases and diagnosis)进行了分类，决定了100多个国家的诊疗过程。它会影响医生的诊断，影响保险公司确定保险覆盖范围(insurance coverage)，影响流行病学家(epidemiologists)开展相关研究，还会影响卫生官员对死亡率(death rate)等统计数据的解读。ICD是确定全球健康趋势的基础(the foundation for the identification of global health trends)，也是全球疾病与健康的标准(the international standard for diseases and health conditions)。

　　新纳入的中医传统医学的相关信息将写入第11版全球医学纲要第26章内，该章节主要阐释传统医学的分类体系(classification system of traditional medicine)，将于2022年在世卫组织成员国实施。

　　我国一直在推广中医现代化(modernization of TCM)，并推动中医在世界范围内获得认可和普及(gain acceptance and popularity worldwide)。我国药理学佳屠呦呦因其对中医的研究，获得2015年诺贝尔医学奖(be awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2015)。

　　世卫组织官员称，尽管中药(herbal medicines)、针灸(acupuncture)等中医疗法(traditional medical practices)的使用正日益普及，但目前国际上尚缺少对中医的全球分类(global classification)和术语工具(terminology tools)。

　　由于将传统医学作为实现全民医疗保健目标的一部分，世卫组织一直很支持中医。世卫组织称，在部分国家，传统医疗比西医更便宜，也更容易获得。世卫组织在接受《自然》采访时表示，其传统医学战略的目标是"通过监管、研究和在合适情况下将传统医药产品、从业人员与医疗实践纳入卫生体系(integrate traditional medicine products, practitioners and practice into health systems)，促进传统医学的安全有效应用(promote the safe and effective use of traditional medicine)"。
