中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平10月26日下午出席了在京召开的军队领导干部会议并发表重要讲话。

 

China's military should take solid steps toward a strong army as socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, said Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Xi made the remarks when meeting senior military officers in Beijing Thursday. Xi, also Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), urged the army to remain true to its original aspiration and keep its mission firmly in mind.

中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平10月26日对军队领导干部发表讲话时指出，中国特色社会主义进入了新时代，人民军队要不忘初心、牢记使命，坚定不移走中国特色强军之路。

 

十九大报告中提出了一系列新判断、新提法、新概念、新要求、新部署，其中包括党在新时代的强军目标：

 

 

 

适应世界新军事革命发展趋势和国家安全需求，提高建设质量和效益，确保到二〇二〇年基本实现机械化，信息化建设取得重大进展，战略能力有大的提升。同国家现代化进程相一致，全面推进军事理论现代化、军队组织形态现代化、军事人员现代化、武器装备现代化，力争到二〇三五年基本实现国防和军队现代化，到本世纪中叶把人民军队全面建成世界一流军队。

We will adapt to the trend of a new global military revolution and to national security needs; we will upgrade our military capabilities, and see that, by the year 2020, mechanization is basically achieved, IT application has come a long way, and strategic capabilities have seen a big improvement. In step with our country's modernization process, we will modernize our military across the board in terms of theory, organizational structure, service personnel, and weaponry. We will make it our mission to see that by 2035, the modernization of our national defense and our forces is basically completed; and that by the mid-21st century, our people's armed forces have been fully transformed into world-class forces.

 

习近平强调，中国特色社会主义进入了新时代，国防和军队建设也进入了新时代。人民军队要不忘初心、牢记使命（the people's army should remain true to its original aspiration and keep its mission firmly in mind），认真学习贯彻党的十九大精神（learn and implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress），深入学习贯彻新时代党的强军思想，坚定不移走中国特色强军之路（following the road of building a strong army with Chinese characteristics），全面推进国防和军队现代化（promote the modernization of national defense and the army），为实现党在新时代的强军目标、到本世纪中叶把人民军队全面建成世界一流军队、实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦而努力奋斗。

 

习近平指出，新一届军委班子要牢记党和人民重托（to be keenly aware of the trust bestowed by the Party and people），牢记全军官兵期望（aware of the expectations of all servicemen and women），全力以赴做好军委工作（spare no effort in their work）。我军高级干部是强军事业的中坚力量（the backbone of the campaign to build a strong army），身上千钧重担，身后千军万马，必须对党忠诚、听党指挥（loyal and obedient to the Party），必须善谋打仗、能打胜仗（be good and smart at combat），必须锐意改革、勇于创新（endeavor to reform and innovation），必须科学统筹、科学管理，必须厉行法治、从严治军（be efficient in commanding their forces, strict in discipline），必须作风过硬、作出表率（set an example by performing their duty with spirit and diligence），以饱满的精神状态和奋斗姿态为党工作，忠实履行好职责。
