Urban/'+: b+n/的意思是“市镇的”、“都市的”（belonging or relating to a town or a city）。它的对义词是rural。例：

They can't get used to the urban life of Hong Kong．

他们不习惯香港的城市生活。

Housing problem is always an urban problem．

Urbane/+: 'bein/的意思是“高尚的”、“有教养的”、“文雅的”（refined，well－bred，elegant）。它的对义词是unsophisticated。例：
