　　1. Under the table 幕后交易，暗箱操作

　　The crime boss paid the police under the table to get away from punishment.

　　为逃避惩罚，犯罪头目暗地里贿赂警察。

　　疯狂联想：桌下的交易，见不得阳光。
 

　　2. Under the weather （身体）不舒服

　　I'm feeling a little under the weather today. I think I'll stay home from work.

　　今天我有点不舒服，就待在家里不去上班了。

　　释义：直译是在天气下。以前人们认为天气的变化是带来疾病的原因。不过under the weather只是身体不适，而非大病。
