　　How much longer until I can get my business license? I've had enough of this red tape.

　　疯狂联想：古时候官方的文件一般都用红带子捆，这样红带子就和官僚主义连在一起了。
 

　　2. Red-letter day 大日子，好日子

　　This is a red-letter day for Susan. She did well in the interview and got a job from IBM.

　　今天是苏珊的大日子。她在IBM公司的招聘会上表现出色，从而得到了工作。

　　释义：起源于15世纪，教堂日历的斋月节以及其他神圣节日都用红色特别标出，以示喜庆和庄重。
