美国街头常用英语俚语（139）：Make out/ make the

　　1. Make out 接吻，调情

　　Once I saw Mike and Betty making out in the woods.

　　有一次我看到迈克和贝蒂在小树林里激吻。

　　释义：都是“接吻”，make out一定与性有关，多半是性前的挑逗或调情，而kiss却有可能是礼节性的。
 

　　2. Make the grade 称职；合乎水准，符合要求

　　If you don't make the grade, you can't be a member of the club.

　　如果你不合格，就不能称为俱乐部的一员。
