a breath of air

 

讲解：a breath of air 本义指“一股清风”，It' s really sultry. There is not a breath of air. 真的闷热得很,一点儿风也没有。 它逐渐转喻为person or thing that is welcome and refreshing change，即：使人耳目一新的人或事物。

 

例如：His ideas about revitalizing the company's activities are like a breath of fresh air. 他使公司恢复元气活动的意见如同一股新鲜空气，令人耳目一新。
